Monogramming with Kate Illustrate

Monogramming is a modern form of branding your initials onto an item of your clothing, accessories or stationery. Kate will be offering hand painted block initials which are designed to be painted in a 3D image. So, if you are after your very own leather, vegan leather or plastic garment (note book, glasses case, handbag etc) hand painted by YOU with your initials, then find Kate at the Monogram Bar. She will be at hand to help you create your very own monogrammed garment or accessory and, no matter how “good” or “bad” you are at drawing, writing or painting (Kate’s heard it all), the overall outcome will be perfect.

Art Installation by L A E Art Consultancy

L A E Art Consultancy was founded in early 2018 by proud Prestonian Lucy A.Edwards. Her vision was to bring together like-minded creatives from across the creative world to produce exciting, contemporary art exhibitions and projects in different venues all over the UK – with most focus being on the North.

The consultancy offers a range of services from commercial and personal artwork sourcing, artwork curation and installation, exhibition management and a unique inventory of artworks available for acquisition from both emerging and established artists.

Based in Preston, L A E set out to showcase pieces from an array of artists ranging from people the Founder, Lucy, had already worked with over her 8 year career as a London gallerist and curator, to exciting, new artists she has personally sourced to either fit a specific exhibition aesthetic or simply extending her personal taste to her gallery walls to be enjoyed by the public. About the ARTISTS (all work available via L A E)

Caála Rebecca Mason

Rebecca Mason uses light to convey the darkness within human life, existence & emotion. Exhibiting widely across the UK (and blowing and bending her own neon!! YAS, GIRL) since early 2013, her detailed & distinctive neon creations have been described as “an extraordinary mix of truth & beauty through which she is able to engage her audience with brutal observations about life, love, money & culture using her honest, & often humorous, interpretation of the modern world“.

L A E will have a number of works from Rebecca available at WKN, from original Neon artworks, to prints finished with diamond dust, to mini-prints, to necklaces! Something for everyone! Anna Laurini

Anna Laurini has gained recognition over the last few years as one of the most distinctive urban contemporary artists to burst onto the London & New York scene. Her process is dynamic & bold, yet her underlying femininity permeates her prolific body of work. I’ve been working with this artist since around 2016, here she is in my back garden in July 2017 painting her famous faces on my fence. L A E will have two original canvases available for purchase at the Woman Kind North event, along with a great selection of Laurini’s hand-drawn paper works

Gemma Smith

Gemma is a local artist, residing in Preston! I’ve followed and loved her work for many years so its so great to be able to showcase a range of her hand-painted goodies (prints, to keyrings, to characterised Russian dolls!) in both of our hometowns at WKN!
